A CHÂTEAU ON THE FRENCH RIVIERA: MODERN INTERIORS BY OITOEMPONTO traces this assiduous renovation, from initial watercolor sketches and photographs— reproduced here on offset paper—through to the finished private family residence.

Near the glittering coast of the French Riviera, surrounded by a luscious cru classé vineyard, the highly regarded, Portugal-based architectural firm OITOEMPONTO oversaw the renaissance of Château Saint-Maur in Cogolin, through a comprehensive, four-year renovation.

Principal architects Artur Miranda and Jacques Bec of Porto-based, Oitoemponto are renowned for their expertise in refined architecture and interior design. Thrice invited to participate in the AD Intérieurs fair in Paris, the duo have designed important private and public buildings around the world, from Portugal, London, and Paris to São Paulo and Luanda, Angola.
